This is a bittersweet moment for us. We love Nick, we are deeply grateful for him, and we could not be more excited for the opportunity before him. His departure from TG Three comes with our full support, prayers, and genuine joy for what God is calling him to do next.
Nick was approached by an alumnus of Roberts Wesleyan about considering the role. Given his denominational ties to the Free Methodist Church, his deep love for Christian higher education, and the opportunity to help lead and grow a Christ-centered university, this was a rare and compelling opportunity.
Nick’s work at TG Three has prepared him well for this next chapter. Over the past several years, he has served presidents, boards, and senior leadership teams across a wide range of strategic areas, including institutional strategy, enrollment, financial aid, brand, and mission alignment. That consulting work, combined with his 20-year career in academics as a theoretical mathematician, professor, and faculty leader gives him a remarkable foundation for presidential leadership.
We are proud of Nick and grateful for the role he has played in shaping TG Three. His intellect, faith, warmth, and love for Christian higher education have made us better.
At the same time, this transition comes at an important moment for TG Three. Rob Westervelt, TG Three’s founder, will be joining the firm full time after serving part time for the past six years. Rob’s full-time transition will allow TG Three to continue expanding its work with Christian colleges and universities in strategy, brand, marketing, enrollment, and financial aid.
TG Three remains committed to helping Christian colleges and universities build stronger, clearer, and more sustainable futures. We are grateful for the season we have shared with Nick, and we look forward with confidence to the next chapter for both Nick and TG Three.
Please join us in congratulating Nick and praying for him, his family, and the Roberts Wesleyan University and Northeastern Seminary community as they begin this new season together.
In Christ,
Ryan Dougherty and Rob Westervelt
